It is impossible to medically treat ALS / MND but as part of ALS awareness month, we are hoping to treat the families affected by MND / ALS a nice meal. Often, caregiving for a person affected by ALS / MND, takes up a lot of time and energy. MNDa is collaborating with local restaurant, Lemongrass, for this 'belanja' initiative. We are hoping that we could give the family, caregivers and FDWs a break, with a freshly cooked Halal restaurant quality food delivered to their doorsteps. People living with ALS / MND (aka ALS / MND warriors) have mobility issues and are unable to dine out with the family. With this initiative, we want to create an opportunity for families to gather together for a meal to be remembered with the warriors. It is also to give recognition and thanks to the caregivers and FDWs who dedicated themselves for the warriors.
Excess sets of meals will be given to health care workers who are directly involved in the medical follow-ups of ALS / MND warriors, as a form of appreciation for their care and attention as well.
